Nebraska custody is split across county jails, NDCS prisons, federal systems, ICE detention, victim-notification tools, and courts. Use the office that controls the record.
- County jail custody: use the County Directory and contact the sheriff, county corrections office, or receiving jail.
- State prison custody: search NDCS Incarceration Records.
- NDCS public records: email DCS.PublicRecords@nebraska.gov or mail Public Disclosure Unit, Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, P.O. Box 94661, Lincoln, NE 68509.
- Court dates or charges: use Nebraska Judicial Branch case information or the local court clerk.
- Federal prison: use the BOP inmate locator.
- Immigration detention: use ICE ODLS.
- Victim notification: use NEVCAP.
